Welcome to Okie Buzz: A New Way to Discover Oklahoma

For more than 20 years, I’ve been building Enid Buzz and sharing what’s happening in our community. What started as a local information source grew into something people came to rely on for news, events, updates, and the stories that make a town feel alive.

Now I’m taking that same passion and expanding it statewide with a brand-new venture: Okie Buzz.

Okie Buzz was created to help people discover the best events, festivals, concerts, food happenings, attractions, and adventures all across Oklahoma. There is always something going on in this state. The problem has never been a lack of things to do. The problem is that most people simply do not hear about enough of them in time to make plans.

That is where Okie Buzz comes in.

This site is built to be a statewide hub for fun. Whether you are looking for a concert in Oklahoma City, a festival in a small town, a food truck event, a road trip destination, a weekend attraction, or something quirky and memorable you would have never found otherwise, Okie Buzz is here to pull it all together in one place.

One of the biggest features of the site is the Okie Buzz calendar. The goal is simple: help people plan their weekends. Instead of sitting around on a Friday night wondering what to do, families, couples, friends, and travelers can browse the calendar and map out road trips and getaways around events happening across Oklahoma. Maybe it is a Route 66 cruise, an arts festival, a concert, a food event, a museum stop, or a hidden gem in a town you have not visited in years. Okie Buzz is designed to help people connect those dots.

Along with the website, I’m also launching the weekly Okie Buzz Podcast. The podcast is another way to spotlight what’s happening around the state and talk about the concerts, festivals, destinations, attractions, and travel ideas that make Oklahoma more fun than people often realize. Each week, I’ll be sharing a roundup of upcoming events, highlighting places worth visiting, and giving listeners fresh ideas for where to go and what to experience next.

In other words, Okie Buzz is more than a calendar. It is more than a website. It is a growing statewide platform built to celebrate Oklahoma and help people get out and enjoy it.

And as this venture grows, I’m looking for the right major sponsor to get in early and help support it.
